That's two in a row for Picasso! Exceptional Data Translates to Exceptional Progeny. PICASSO'S biopsy and histogram scores are outstanding and the proof of his quality is in his offspring. Picasso sons and daughters have garnered numerous banners, Judge's Choice Awards and AOA National Supreme Championships! S/P ratio of 11.1-1 and micron variation of just 3.8!! (19.1 to 22.9 microns) Add to this, high density of 58.25 follicles/sq mm, top gland rating of 4/4, and only 30% medullated fibers resulting in a dense, fine fleece with outstanding, smooth handle. At three years of age, six fiber samples were taken. Three on each side, hip. mid-side and shoulder. The results showed amazing consistency of micron across the blanket, low SD and high comfort factor. PICASSO has an exceptional, award winning, sire and dam, and he himself has been twice named Champion at Futurity. Big Thank You to Lisa and Bob at Memory MACRES Suris in New Jersey for the purchase of Jamaica. She will continue to produce champions with their outstanding studs, GLR Picasso and Goldstar's Vader. In over 20 years, Jamaica is the best we've had at Pines Edge. We retain her twice Supreme Champion son, Uproar. GLR JAMAICA is simply phenomenal! She is a solid jet black with a fleece that just hasn't any equal. Her dense fleece consists of layer upon layer of glistening wave and twist locks and her conformation is exact with strong bone and good capacity topped off with a great Suri head. The Judge's recognized her excellence and awarded her JUDGE'S CHOICE at the 2013 AOBA NATIONAL show. A rare achievement for a black! Here's the proof. Three cria by different studs and all have achieved an AOA National Championship!!! Jamaica is a true black, full Peruvian, rare Shavano daughter. Shavano is a legend at Great Lakes Ranch and Herdsire of the Year, 2010. Her dam is LCA Jaimica, the daughter of one of Snowmass Alpacas favorite suri dams, Snowmass Foxy Lady. Jamaica shows great presence and has a sweet disposition. She is a Futurity Champion and twice Champion at AOBA Nationals. She did it as a juvenile and continued as a yearling to leave judges in awe of her solid build and amazing fleece. Biopsy Report, 28 months, Dr Norm Evans - "GLR Jamaica would place in the top 1% of Suri females based on density, (62), S/P ratio, (13.9), and gland presence, (4/4) ." Jamaica's secondary fibers were rated as 21.4 micron showing great fineness, especially for black. Jamaica delivered a striking, true black female cria, Jetina, in September 2014 sired by Black Beau of PVA. Big thanks to Mike and Janet Wilkins for adding Jetina to their outstanding suri herd. Jamaica's 2016 model is a handsome black boy, Blackrock, by Cinders a Great Lakes Ranch black stud closed to outside breedings. Blackrock was named Res Champion at AOA Nationals and GWAS. In 2017 Jamaica delivered another outstanding cria, a true black son, Uproar, by Vader. This is a solid boy showing great presence with lots of luster and lock. Watch for him in the 2018 shows. We watched, and he is now the 2018 AOA National Suri Male Supreme Champion, Futurity Judge's Choice Suri Male and GWAS Judge's Choice Suri Male. WOW! Jamaica deliver a beautiful true black female, 8/2/2019. This girl is the full sister of two time National Supreme Champion Uproar. Get her quick. Jamaica is bred back to Vader.

GLR Joaquin is the a full brother to the two time 2015 Judges Choice True Black Female GLR Jamiyah. He is a gorgeous dark brown like his mother LCA Jaimica, who is also the mother of GLR Rastamon, the 2015 Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year at the AAA Futurity. Jaimica has produced nothing but champions no matter who she's bred to and this Picasso son looks to be in the running to follow in his siblings footsteps. His luster, lock, coverage and conformation are right up to par and his micron is 17.7.
His show record as a young juvenile is impressive and at just six months he was the Reserve Brown Color Champion at the AOA and 2016 MAPACA Jubilee. Not bad for a youngster!

As a yearling, he came back and won Color Champion at AOA and Reserve Color Champion at CABA and All Suri Network Fleece Show.

Joaquin's offspring won a 1st, 2nd and 3rd at Nationals in 2022. Joaquin on Sunshine also took a 1st at Nationals, CABA and AWE. He then followed up with a Reserve Champion at PNAA IFA Show and also placed Reserve Champion in a special class - Uniformity of micron.
